On foot from Glastonbury Abbey:
It takes about 10 - 15 minutes to walk from the abbey to Healing Waters. You can also take a taxi, it would cost about £3 - £4.
If you want to walk, you face out of town with the abbey on your left hand side.
You walk for about 3 minutes until you come to a small roundabout. You continue in a straight line across the roundabout and up a hill.
At the top of the hill you cross the road into the road directly in front of you and then immediately take a right turning onto Tor View Avenue. There is one other right turning just before this which is called Hillhead. Either one of these turnings take you to Roman Way. Both roads meet at a very small roundabout marked on the road. This is the start of Roman Way and the end of Tor View Avenue and Hillhead.
Healing Waters is on the left hand side by the roundabout. There is off the road parking and there is a big sign over the garage saying 'Healing Waters'.
You go down the steps to the house.
From the M5:
Leave the motorway at junction 23 and at the roundabout take the A39 exit (signposted Glastonbury, Wells). At the T-junction turn left onto Bath Road. Keep following the signs to Glastonbury (passing through Knowle and Ashcott). At the Street roundabout take the first exit onto The Causeway. At the hatches in the road take the right hand turn into The Roman Way. Follow the road and Healing Waters will be found at the end on the right hand side just before the fork in the road.

Stay on the A350 for about 14 miles until you reach Semington. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit for the A361 signposted Trowbridge. After about 24 miles you will enter Shepton Mallet. Follow the A361 left at the traffic signals towards Glastonbury. At Cannards Grave roundabout take the 1st exit A37 signposted Yeovil, Taunton & Glastonbury. At Whitstone Corner roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A37 signposted Yeovil. After half a mile turn right onto the A361 to Glastonbury. Pass through Pilton and West Pennard. Just after entering Glastonbury the road turns sharp right towards the High Street. Here do not turn right but go straight forward up into Hill Head. Follow the road and at the bottom and you will see Healing Waters opposite on your left.

Hello - This is to introduce you to my services - I run a taxi service (4 person estate car, lady driver) from Castle Cary Station and I bring many people from there to Glastonbury and the surrounding area. The charge is approxiamately £26 and is for up to 4 people. I also do day trips to anywhere in the West Country, e.g. Tintagel/Dartmoor/Stonehenge etc. Having lived in Devon and Cornwall I know some interesting haunts to visit en route to these places to make the day out more exciting - these days out are charged at a daily rate depending on distance/time to be covered. If you are arriving at Castle Cary station it is advisable to book a taxi in advance and I will meet you when you arrive (no extra charge if the train is late !). The charge for this service is on a South Somerset set meter . I am of course covered by the usual insurance and licenses etc.
Please contact me on any of the above phone (I am usually on the mobile) or email address.
