Healing Waters Sanctuary — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions exist to protect the peace of the Sanctuary, the wellbeing of all guests, and the integrity of the healing and retreat environment we offer.
By making a booking, staying at Healing Waters Sanctuary, attending a retreat or event, receiving a therapy, or purchasing any offering from Healing Waters Sanctuary, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Where a booking is made on behalf of other guests, the person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all members of their party are made aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Bookings & Payments
Bookings are confirmed only once the required payment or deposit, where applicable, has been received and confirmation has been issued by Healing Waters Sanctuary.
- Prices may vary according to season, accommodation type, occupancy, length of stay and the nature of the booking.
- Where a deposit is required to secure a booking, the deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- No accommodation, retreat dates or other booking dates can be held or pencilled in without payment due to seasonal demand and limited availability.
- Any outstanding balance must be paid by the date stated in your booking confirmation or payment agreement.
- Failure to make payment when due may result in the booking being cancelled and the dates being released for other guests.
- Guests are responsible for checking the details of their booking confirmation and notifying Healing Waters Sanctuary promptly of any errors or discrepancies.
Payments, Card Payments & Direct Payment
Healing Waters Sanctuary accepts payment using the payment methods made available at the time of booking.
Direct payment by bank transfer is our preferred method of payment wherever available. Paying directly allows Healing Waters Sanctuary to manage your booking and payment directly without reliance on a third-party booking platform.
- Where payment is made by debit or credit card through Stripe or another payment processor, the transaction will be processed securely by the relevant payment provider.
- Healing Waters Sanctuary incurs payment-processing costs when accepting card payments through services such as Stripe. These processing costs are borne by Healing Waters Sanctuary and may be reflected within our overall pricing structure.
- We do not add a separate surcharge solely because a consumer chooses to pay using an eligible debit or credit card where such a surcharge is prohibited by applicable law.
- Guests wishing to pay by direct bank transfer should contact Healing Waters Sanctuary or follow the direct payment instructions provided with their booking.
- Any bank charges, currency conversion charges or other fees imposed independently by a guest’s own bank or payment provider remain the responsibility of the guest.
For direct communication, straightforward payment arrangements and to avoid third-party booking-platform commissions, we recommend booking and paying Healing Waters Sanctuary directly wherever possible.
Group Bookings & Whole-House Use
Group and retreat bookings require additional consideration to protect the peaceful nature of the Sanctuary and ensure the property is suitable for the intended use.
- Any booking of 6 or more guests must be booked as a whole-house stay.
- Whole-house bookings of 12 or more guests may incur an additional surcharge to reflect increased occupancy, facilities, utilities and use of the Sanctuary.
- The lead booker, retreat organiser or group facilitator is responsible for the conduct of their group and for ensuring that all participants are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions.
- The intended nature and purpose of retreats, workshops, ceremonies, courses or group events must be disclosed accurately at the time of booking.
- Healing Waters Sanctuary reserves the right to refuse activities that are considered unsafe, unlawful or incompatible with the ethos, environment or peaceful operation of the Sanctuary.
- Any additional visitors who are not included in the original booking must be agreed with Healing Waters Sanctuary in advance.
Cancellations & Booking Changes
Due to the limited number of rooms available and the difficulty of replacing cancelled bookings, bookings are generally non-refundable unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
- Deposits and booking payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your individual booking agreement.
- Requests to transfer a booking to alternative dates may be considered at the discretion of Healing Waters Sanctuary and are subject to availability.
- Any transfer of dates must be agreed and confirmed in writing and may be subject to differences in seasonal pricing.
- Illness, changes in personal circumstances, transport difficulties, travel disruption or a change of plans do not automatically entitle guests to a refund.
- Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel or cancellation insurance to protect themselves against unforeseen circumstances.
Where Healing Waters Sanctuary is required to cancel or materially alter a direct booking due to circumstances within our reasonable control, we will contact the lead booker to discuss the options available.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Retreat-Style Accommodation & No Wi-Fi
Healing Waters Sanctuary is a peaceful retreat environment and private sanctuary rather than a conventional hotel.
Guests choosing to stay with us are intentionally entering a slower, nature-connected environment designed to support rest, reflection, healing and time away from the demands and distractions of everyday life.
- The Sanctuary prioritises peace, calm, quiet and minimal digital disturbance.
- Healing Waters Sanctuary does not provide Wi-Fi for guests.
- Guests who require internet access during their stay are responsible for arranging their own mobile data connection or other suitable means of connectivity.
- Mobile phone reception and mobile data coverage may vary according to network provider, location and external factors and cannot be guaranteed by Healing Waters Sanctuary.
- The absence of Wi-Fi and any limitations in mobile reception or data connectivity are part of the conditions under which accommodation is offered and are not grounds for a refund or compensation.
- Some rooms may not have individual external-style door locks, as the property operates as a shared retreat home and Sanctuary rather than a conventional hotel.
- Healing Waters Sanctuary does not provide the full range of services, facilities or continuous staffing that may be expected from a conventional hotel.
Guests who require guaranteed internet connectivity, conventional hotel facilities or a hotel-style environment should consider whether Healing Waters Sanctuary is suitable for their needs before making a booking.
By booking, guests acknowledge and accept that they are choosing retreat-style accommodation and understand the nature of the environment and facilities provided.

By making a booking, all guests agree to respect and comply with this policy. The person making the booking and, where applicable, the retreat organiser or group leader is responsible for ensuring that all members of their group are made aware of and comply with these requirements.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in the guest or guests being required to leave Healing Waters Sanctuary. Serious breaches may result in the immediate termination of the stay, booking, retreat or event without refund, subject to applicable law and the terms under which the booking was made.
Rooms, Therapies & Schedule Adjustments
We make every reasonable effort to provide the accommodation, therapists and arrangements described at the time of booking. However, changes may occasionally be necessary.

- Where an operational change is necessary, Healing Waters Sanctuary will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative.
- Therapist availability may change due to illness, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Where appropriate, an alternative therapist or appointment time may be offered.
- A change of therapist alone does not automatically entitle the guest to a refund where a suitable alternative can reasonably be provided.

- Guests are asked not to use Healing Waters Sanctuary towels, bedding or linens for removing makeup, applying or removing fake tan, colouring hair, or any other purpose that may cause permanent staining.
- Where bedding, towels, furnishings or other items are stained or damaged beyond what can reasonably be removed through normal laundering or cleaning, Healing Waters Sanctuary reserves the right to charge the reasonable cost of specialist cleaning, repair or replacement.
- Healing Waters Sanctuary may also charge reasonable additional cleaning costs where accommodation or shared spaces are left in a condition requiring cleaning substantially beyond that normally expected following a stay.
- Guests are responsible for damage, breakage or loss caused by them or members of their party to the property, fixtures, fittings, furnishings, equipment or contents of Healing Waters Sanctuary.
- Where items are lost, damaged beyond repair or require replacement, the reasonable replacement cost may be charged.
- Where legally applicable, the lead booker may be held responsible for reasonable costs arising from damage, staining, loss or additional cleaning caused by members of their group.
Any additional charge will be based on the reasonable cost incurred by Healing Waters Sanctuary in cleaning, repairing or replacing the affected item or property.
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings. Healing Waters Sanctuary cannot accept responsibility for personal items that are lost, misplaced or left behind, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Rates vary according to season, availability, accommodation type, occupancy and length of stay.
Prices displayed on Booking.com, Airbnb and other third-party booking platforms may be higher than direct booking rates due to platform commissions, service charges and associated costs.
